Between the Cyclones

You would never think we were in the Indian Ocean a mere 600 miles West of Perth if you went to do your laps of the deck and found yourself in a 50knot headwind! The ship is ploughing through a moderate sea, just missing one cyclone which went to Madagascar and another one passing across Australia. Net result strong winds! An opportunity to swim in the covered pool and do a bit of reading.
Another 'turbine' problem has meant that we will arrive in Perth about 4 hours late, much to the chagrin of Richard & Felicity whose plans are detailed to the minute. Never mind.
Excellent Captain's cocktails last night and interesting conversation with the Environmental and Security Officers.
Looking forward to our overland, just a bit concerned about missing the ship in Sydney and the Purser's ability to read letters as they obviously didn't read ours about the overland! Have had a couple of requests for details and one set of 'disembarkation' instructions as is we were checking out.
Interesting speakers lately too - Somali Pirates and International Spying! Pleased to see the ship has an anti-piracy plan on the bridge
