This is a big pond!

Well, here we are about halfway across, enjoying the facilities of the ship - interesting to note that QV is rated lower than Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Gem in the Berlitz guide! Making 18 knots in moderate swell, such that the pool is netted off - at least it's fresh water.
Ascot Ball last night, good fun but our outfits were not a prize-winner, but the exhibition dancers are amazing!
Bridge is central to the days, but it looks like the extreme competitiveness of some passengers might force us to the Spa instead. Some very interesting talks on NY skyscrapers and Titanic survivors.
Captain's cocktails all part of the evening and a free glass of fizz is always welcome. The rum cocktails are a pleasant way to pass the evenings in the Commodore lounge, or with the string quartet.
 Look familiar?

Planning our day in New York. Looks like there will be time to go up the Top of the Rock.

More navigational stuff next post!

  1. I'll repeat what I said in Montevideo (feel like a time traveller) a great read. You do scrub up and I'm sure you both can dance that old fashioned stuff. Was it the girl or the canteen that looked familiar? Sorry I'll have loads of questions. Like do you have to pay for drinks and is there a lap dancing club on board? Did you weigh yourself before you left the UK and did you have to pay for extra weight on the way back? FYI I had lunch on top of the Rockefella 39 years ago with a millionairess (she paid) and I don't own a DJ can I borrow yours (plus the tie) if I win the lottery and follow in your footsteps (wake)?
